Hypatia builds advanced technologies for public benefit missions around the globe.  We are a software engineering firm that specializes in prototyping, integrating and scaling products and platforms at the interface of hardware, software and biology. We have a portfolio of past performance in programs for advancing public health and national security, with milestone achievements developing products with blockchain protocols, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, cybersecurity, cloud-native infrastructure and scientific computing.

• OEM Product Team for vendor-agnostic solutioning across a full-stack linecard of OEM and first-to-federal hardware, software and cloud products

Hypatia is a global company with headquarters in Reston, Virginia, located in the technology corridor outside of Washington, DC. Our multicultural team is fluent in eight languages, with international projects and collaborations.

How we work within an innovation ecosystem.

Hypatia Group, Inc. is a privately held corporation that designs, builds and invests in fusion technologies that advance public health, increase the human healthspan and promote global cooperation.  Hypatia Project, LLC is the engineering skunkworks and trusted government innovation partner of the Hypatia Group, Inc. As a force multiplier and mission enabler, Hypatia helps commercialize ‘step change’ technology ventures by providing risk capital and GTM infrastructure to young companies based in the United States.

Emerging Technology Hub in Palo Alto, California.  Hypatia actively invests in life science and information technology ventures through our active participation in the technology ecosystem in the Bay Area (seed, A and B rounds).  As members of well-respected "first money in" investing groups Life Science Angels (Palo Alto), Band of Angels (Palo Alto), Cleantech to Market (Berkeley), we apply structured 9-phase due diligence process to evaluate 750+ ventures per year. When we take an equity position in a technology venture, that entity is eligible to participate in the Hypatia First-to-Federal technology commercialization program after it achieves target milestones.  Many of these entities are differentiated by their real-world applications of emerging technologies, like artificial intelligence and precision medicine.
